Ben Webb — Founder of EPD (Enabling Project Delivery)
EPD was created by Ben Webb, an award-winning Australian Project Manager recognised for delivering complex, high-stakes projects where governance, stakeholders and execution collide.
Ben was awarded Australia’s Leading Project Manager (AIPM, 2022) and has spent more than two decades leading projects across infrastructure, hospitality, major events, tourism and public-facing environments — often under intense scrutiny, immovable deadlines, and competing interests.
EPD is not a theoretical model.
It is the product of lived delivery experience — built from projects where failure was public, delays were expensive, and “status reporting” alone would never have been enough.
Why EPD Exists
After years working inside traditional project frameworks, Ben saw the same problems repeat:
- Projects drowning in reports but starved of decisions
- Governance structures designed to protect process, not outcomes
- Teams busy, compliant — and quietly drifting
- Risks documented weekly and realised anyway
EPD was developed as a counter-model.
A delivery method that prioritises:
- Decision velocity over perfect information
- Clear accountability over shared ambiguity
- Governance that enables action
- Leadership behaviour over administrative compliance
EPD formalises what experienced delivery leaders already know — and gives teams a practical way to apply it consistently.
Where Ben Has Applied EPD Thinking
Ben’s delivery experience spans:
- Large-scale infrastructure and precinct projects
- Complex hospitality and venue developments
- High-profile public events with national visibility
- Multi-stakeholder programs involving government, sponsors, operators and communities
Across these environments, the same principles held true:
projects succeed when decisions are made early, ownership is explicit, and governance supports momentum rather than constrains it.
EPD captures those principles in a repeatable, teachable framework.
Ben Webb Today
Today, Ben applies EPD as:
- A delivery advisor to complex and at-risk projects
- A governance and operating-model specialist
- A mentor to senior project leaders and executives
- A writer and commentator on modern project delivery, leadership, and decision-making
EPD continues to evolve through active use — not academic distance.
